 Além da defesa de pontos de vista falaciosos e que, para piorar ainda mais, podem se transformar em políticas públicas, também uma tendência que parece igual para ambos os extremos, da esquerda e da direita, de apresentarem uma atração irresistível por estratégias agressivas de ataque aos seus adversários e que, com frequência, acabam resvalando em outros grupos, uma espécie de "fogo-amigo" que eu já comentei em outro texto, especificamente sobre o fogo-amigo da esquerda. E que, no caso da extrema direita, por causa de sua insensibilidade ou truculência característica e gratuita, costuma ter repercussões ainda mais amplas, afastando o máximo de potenciais apoiadores e eleitores às suas ideias e causas.

And that, in the case of the extreme right, because of its characteristic and gratuitous insensitivity or truculence, it tends to have even wider repercussions, alienating as many potential supporters and voters as possible from their ideas and causes.
