But not because my ideological and political views are exclusively centered on the center-right and center-left, if I consider them to be excessively diluted and therefore corrupt versions of the more traditional right and left. Rather, they are constituted by a likely majority of positions originating from the extremes of the political-ideological spectrum: from the anti-capitalism of the Marxist left to the perception of more intrinsic differences between individuals and human groups of the far right. This would, in my opinion, be true moderation or balance, by placing equal weights on the extremes or ends of both sides, if a scale doesn't balance by concentrating the weight on its center of gravity.
Still, I consider myself a progressive, simply because I consider myself an example of someone who seeks to strictly follow the most basic ideals or essence of progressivism, said to be the most direct heir to the Enlightenment movement, the search for reason rather than superstition, and for true human emancipation rather than oppression.
