I hate K-pop and South Korea with a passion… I’ve tried watching South Korean movies and didn’t like them. I tried watching clips from one of the many South Korean series out there and didn’t like them. As for the pop music, I only ever enjoyed one song from about ten or fifteen years ago—and even then, it was a very lukewarm "like," the sort of: "it’s not crap; it’s listenable, even danceable, kinda cute," and nothing more… it was the choreography in the music video that caught my eye, and that’s it… I don’t like the sound of the South Korean language. I don’t like how they write and present stories (many are identical to the mindless American comedies typical of the 90s). And I don’t like the country: it’s a total sham. A country that’s a champion of plastic surgery, with sky-high rates of bullying, suicide, and depression—it’s not a country; it’s a sickness.
An EXTREMELY materialistic, class-obsessed, and competitive culture—I mean, a senseless competition for status… everything I despise most in this world…
