A priori, the problem of the Brazilian state is not its size, but the completely poor quality of those who work in public positions, especially those at the highest levels of the hierarchy. Therefore, there would be no point in reducing the state if this problem was not resolved. But as it seems unresolvable in the short and medium term and in scenarios of social and political stability, maintaining the current status quo, it seems reasonable to think about reducing it, while preserving as much as possible its essential services, such as education, health and security. (and of course, always thinking about improving its coverage and efficiency networks). If the more bloated and in this state the Brazilian state is, the more corruption with public money will happen...
