Mas por que os animais seriam "realistas"??
Porque precisam estar constantemente se adaptando às suas realidades de existência para sobreviver e, portanto, precisam compreendê-las de maneira exata, mesmo se muito restritamente, se comparado com o nosso potencial de compreensão...
E por que a maioria humana é surrealista??
Porque a maioria "prefere" ou tem um impulso primário e dominante para acreditar nas próprias crenças sobre o mundo do que de buscar compreendê-lo da maneira mais objetiva e imparcial possível e, além disso, o faz por intermédio da linguagem. Daí o uso do termo "surrealismo", de se guiar primariamente por elementos abstratos, como as palavras (que costuma resultar em um fenômeno que denominei de semanticalismo, de dar uma importância excessiva na palavra em si e não no elemento ao qual simboliza ou está associada).
Uma outra maneira de interpretar esse nível é de que a maioria de nossa espécie simplesmente não evoluiu ao nível mais elevado de consciência que um ser humano consegue alcançar, acabando em uma situação mais intermediária, entre o mundo "animal" e o humano, entre o instintivo ou o mais subjetivo e o filosófico ou o mais objetivo.
E por que apenas uma minoria de humanos que consegue alcançar o nível mais alto de consciência??
Logicamente falando, por ser mais difícil deixar de ser o centro de sua própria atenção, aceitando o máximo de fatos ou verdades pessoalmente inconvenientes, em especial verdades existenciais ou absolutas, tal como a muito provável finitude da vida e de sua igualdade absoluta, em essência, assim como também o absurdo da própria existência (sem um significado humanamente lógico que a explique ou o porquê de tudo existir, incluindo nós mesmos) e, mesmo assim, continuar vivendo, sabendo que o mundo humano é sustentado por ficções ou cultura, que a vida é única e se vive apenas no agora.
Evolutivamente falando, é simplesmente por ser apenas uma minoria que consegue superar de maneira mais significativa, porém nunca absoluta, esse impulso muito básico de auto projeção perceptiva (eu também diria de auto proteção), de vivência mais subjetiva...
Portanto, o realismo é o "começo', o surrealismo é um desvio, e o hiperrealismo é uma continuação do que começou.

But why would animals be "realistic"??
Because they need to be constantly adapting to their realities of existence in order to survive and, therefore, they need to understand them accurately, even if very restrictedly, compared to our potential for understanding...
And why are the human majority surrealists??
Because the majority "prefers" or has a primary and dominant impulse to believe in their own beliefs about the world rather than seeking to understand it in the most objective and impartial way possible and, furthermore, they do so through language. Hence the use of the term "surrealism", of being guided primarily by abstract elements, such as words (which usually results in a phenomenon that I called semanticalism, of giving excessive importance to the word itself and not the element it symbolizes or is associated).
Another way to interpret this level is that the majority of our species simply did not evolve to the highest level of consciousness that a human being can reach, ending up in a more intermediate situation, between the "animal" world and the human, between the instinctive or the most subjective and philosophical or the most objective.
And why are only a minority of humans able to reach the highest level of consciousness?
Logically speaking, because it is more difficult to stop being the center of your own attention, accepting as many personally inconvenient facts or truths as possible, especially existential or absolute truths, such as the very likely finiteness of life and its absolute equality, in essence , as well as the absurdity of existence itself (without a humanly logical meaning that explains it or why everything exists, including ourselves) and, even so, continue living, knowing that the human world is sustained by fictions or culture, that Life is unique and you only live in the now.
Evolutionarily speaking, it is simply because it is only a minority that manages to overcome in a more significant, but never absolute way, this very basic impulse of perceptual self-projection (I would also say self-protection), of more subjective experience...
Therefore, realism is the "beginning", surrealism is a deviation, and hyperrealism is a continuation of what began.
